Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has exciting opportunities in the CDE Department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a Management Trainee : CDE role, which is based in CCBSA Linbro Park. The successful candidate will report directly to the Country Lead : CDE in Linbro Park. The key purpose is to gain immersion while supporting in CDE (Cooler Movement, Technical services, the Master Data team, and all the stakeholders related to the Soft Drinks Equipment team. The successful candidate will need to contribute meaningfully to the effective completion of all delegated initiatives or projects.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Master Data
- Provide input into the development of an application architecture/strategy for
- CDE, based on requirements and strategic intent of the business function.
Implements CDE specific applications as per the strategic plan. This involves aligning the IS requirements regarding sequencing with the business priorities. - Responsible for ensuring detail design of processes and plans will achieve strategic objectives and plans.
- Responsible for ensuring process changes and system changes does not compromise business strategy or operations, and are in line with best practice.
In the specified area of authority, works with management to define and initiate - business analysis projects that support the organization’s objectives and strategic plans.
- Communicates information about planned projects to IS and client/user management.
- Takes responsibility for investigative work to seek effective business solutions.
- Organises the implementation of effective business solutions through improvements in information systems, data management, processes/procedures, organization and equipment.
- Applies and monitors the use of required modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards in an intelligent and effective way.
- Co-operates with senior management, conducting investigations at a high level for strategy studies, requirements specifications and feasibility studies.
- Maintains technical awareness at a level where alternatives can be analysed and classified according to technical feasibility and performance.
- Utilises business experience and skills to assess and advise on the practicability of alternatives, marrying up technical limitations with operational realities.
- Takes responsibility as needed for the detailed specification and modelling of recommended solutions using resources, standards, methods and tools as required.
- Maintains links with appropriate counterparts within both application development and service delivery functions and plays a full part in bringing systems to implementation as detailed by organization policies and methods.
- Ensures that the organisation’s business analysis standards, methods and procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Manage the team.
- Accountable for IMP in the team (eg staff development, performance management, etc.)
- Takes responsibility for a mentoring role in relation to junior analysis staff.
- Prioritisation and scheduling of resources Technical Services
In trade maintenance and repairs are managed according the pre-set Plans - Planned and corrective maintenance plans are planned and implemented according to predefined standards
- Repeat calls and machine downtime are minimised
- Managed 3rd party contractors
- CSM plans and programs are implemented and maintained according to customer needs
- Achieved customer service levels
- Equipment control system and related administration is maintained according to required standards
- Maintained daily service settlement
- Costing reports are monitored on monthly basis or as agreed with the Field Services Manager
- Analysed management information as to reduce costs and stay abreast of developments
- Management information is reported to the field services manager for approval on action to be taken
- Controlled and monitored vehicle fleet according to transport procedures
- Maintained the image and cleanliness of the fleet
- Investigated vehicle accidents according to company policy and procedure
- Logistics Services
- Executed cooler delivery plans
- Monitored and controlled movement of equipment
- Controlled and checked loading process
- Compiled and issued reports
- Reviewed, controlled and monitored processes
- Enforced and maintained SHE regulations
- Managed and controlled operational budgets

Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications:
- BCom/BSc or similar degree
- 3 years management experience
- 3 years ERP (preferable SAP) implementation experience;
- Strong knowledge / understanding of value chain and support;
- Strong knowledge / understanding of IT processes;
- Strong knowledge / understanding of ERP and related applications;
- Strong knowledge / understanding of IT methodologies;
- Familiarity with software technology developments;
Experience:
- Prior strategy consulting experience from a top tier consulting house highly advantageous
- Significant experience in FMCG (beverages ideal) in systems,
- Past pricing experience advantageous, but not essential
- Strong commercial/financial knowledge and experience
- Familiarity with how to source, read, clean and analyse various source of data
- Knowledge of consumer pricing research techniques including choice-based conjoint
- Understanding of econometric modelling and analysis
- Advanced, highly experienced Excel user
- Knowledge of other pricing system tools advantageous (e.g. Margin Minder) Competencies
- Strong intellect, and ability to think conceptually, structuring the question, developing hypotheses, crafting analyses to drive towards an answer, and converting insights into a clear and credible story
