Job Advert Summary
To provide and manage a sales plan and product plan in order to meet financial targets, sales budgets, Return on Investment, Gross Profit and Gross Margin.
Minimum Requirements
- University degree preferably numerical degree
- Knowledge of Merchandise SAP and EP systems or similar ERP advantageous
- Thorough knowledge of long lead-time procurement
- Affinity for numbers
Duties & Responsibilities
- To complete seasonal budgets with the planning manager based on history and trends.
- Prepare seasonal strategy document to develop the merchandise assortment plan and submit the merchandise budget plans for approval.
- Responsible for pulling histories into the DPP/Seasonal Assortment Plans.
- Monitoring weekly stock management (OTB’s).
- Review outstanding purchases to active DPP – article groups and make recommendations on stock.
- To action monthly vendor re-projections on programs by re-projecting unit sales and unit buys.
- Responsible for all unit buy projections including local vendors, imports and SOS buys.
- Analyse monthly strike rates and communicate to buyer.
- Manage over and under stocked lines and request vendors to uplift stock where applicable.
- Monthly analyse of obsolete and discontinued stock.
- To manage stock into the DC.
- Responsible for projecting sales for promotions.
- Keep abreast of POS and manage all markdowns.
